Villa de Drama

Privacy Policy

Effective [EFFECTIVE DATE] · Last updated 19 October 2026

This policy explains what information the game Villa de Drama (the "Game") and the website at villadedrama.com (the "Site") collect, store and share. Both are made by [COMPANY NAME] ("we", "us"). If you have a question, email [CONTACT EMAIL].

1. Information the Game stores on your device

The Game keeps the following on your own computer or in your browser's storage. None of it is uploaded to us.

WhatWhyWhere
Settings (audio, controls, display, accessibility, voice options, your chosen AI model and any custom models you add)So the Game remembers your choicesUnity's local preferences store (the Windows registry on Windows, browser storage on the web)
Season history (Producer Hall of Fame) and achievement progressYour progress between play sessionsSame local preferences store
Downloaded AI dialogue models and the optional voice pack, plus a cache of generated voice audioSo the AI doesn't have to be downloaded again each timeThe Game's data folder on PC; your browser's cache on the web
Diagnostic logs: a log of the session's conversation lines (including any whispers you type), voice timing logs, and Unity's standard player logTroubleshooting and improving dialogue qualityThe Game's data folder on PC; the browser console on the web. They're never read back into the game or sent anywhere automatically.
Photos you take in photo modeSo you can keep and share themYour Pictures folder, in "Villa de Drama"

The contestants' memories, relationships and gossip only exist while the Game is running and aren't saved to disk.

Deleting it

Options > Display > Saved data > Reset wipes your season progress. Downloaded models can be deleted from the dialogue model options. To remove everything, uninstall the Game and delete its data folder (on Windows, %USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow\[COMPANY NAME]\[PRODUCT NAME]), or, on the web, clear site data for the page you play on in your browser settings.

2. Your conversations and the AI

Contestants' lines are generated by a small language model (such as Llama 3.2 or Qwen 2.5) running locally: through llama.cpp on PC, or through WebLLM and your graphics card (WebGPU) in the browser. Voices are generated locally by the Kokoro text-to-speech model. Your whispers and typed instructions are processed only on your device. We don't receive them, and they aren't sent to an AI provider.

Microphone

If your version of the Game offers push-to-talk for whispers, it only records while you hold the talk key. The recording stays in memory on your device. It isn't saved to disk and isn't sent to us or to anyone else. Your browser or operating system will ask for permission before any microphone access, and you can refuse.

3. Downloads from third parties

The Game itself doesn't contact our servers. It does download files from these services, which receive the usual information any website gets from a download request: your IP address, the file requested, the time, and your browser or device type. Each handles that under its own privacy policy.

4. Unity

The Game is made with the Unity engine. We don't use Unity Analytics, Unity Ads or any other Unity cloud service. The Unity engine itself may send Unity Technologies basic technical diagnostics, such as device model, operating system, graphics card and crash information, which Unity uses to keep its engine working. The web version is hosted on Unity Play (play.unity.com), which handles your visit under Unity's terms. Unity game player privacy policy

5. Stores and platforms

If you get the Game from a store such as Steam or itch.io, that store handles your purchase, account and any achievements or cloud saves under its own privacy policy. We don't receive your payment details. If store features such as achievements are added later, the Game will share only the data those features need (for example, which achievements you've unlocked) with that store.

6. This website

The Site is a plain static site. It uses no cookies, no analytics, no tracking pixels and no embedded third-party content: the fonts, images and videos are all served from our own host. Like every web host, [HOSTING PROVIDER] keeps short-lived server logs (IP address, pages requested, browser type) to deliver the Site and protect it from abuse. Links to other sites, such as Discord or Steam, take you to services with their own privacy policies.

If you email us, we use your email address and message only to reply to you, and we delete them when they're no longer needed.

7. Children

The Game contains mature themes (dating, cheating and arguments) and isn't directed at children under 13, or under 16 in the EU and UK. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children. Since the Game doesn't collect personal information from anyone, there's nothing to collect from a child either; if you think a child has emailed us, contact us and we'll delete the message.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, laws such as the GDPR (EU and UK) and the CCPA/CPRA (California) give you the right to access, correct, delete or move your personal information, and to object to how it's used. Because the Game and the Site don't collect personal information about you, we normally hold nothing beyond any emails you send us. You can still contact us at [CONTACT EMAIL] to make a request, and you can complain to your local data protection authority. We don't sell or share personal information for advertising.

9. Changes to this policy

If the Game or the Site starts handling data differently, for example by adding online features, we'll update this page and change the date at the top before the change takes effect. Significant changes will also be announced in the Game's update notes.
