Terms of Service
These terms cover the game Villa de Drama (the "Game") and the website at villadedrama.com (the "Site"), both made by Game Grown Studios ("we", "us"). By playing the Game or using the Site, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use them. Questions go to gamegrownstudios@gmail.com.
- It's a game for adults. You need to be at least 13, and the Game has mature themes (dating, cheating and arguments).
- The cast's lines are written live by AI on your device. They're fictional, unscripted and sometimes wrong or surprising, and they aren't our views.
- Streaming and videos are welcome, including monetized ones.
- Your purchase gives you a personal licence to play. Store terms (such as Steam's) apply too.
1. Who can play
You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age in your country if that's higher, to use the Game or the Site. The Game includes dating, infidelity, arguments and mild innuendo between adult fictional characters. If you're under 18, check with a parent or guardian first.
2. Your licence to the Game
When you buy or download the Game, we give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and play it for your own non-commercial entertainment, apart from the video uses in section 5. You may not sell, rent, sublicense or redistribute the Game, or remove its copyright and licence notices. You also may not reverse engineer or modify it, except where the law allows or we've provided official modding tools.
If you got the Game through a store such as Steam or itch.io, that store's terms (for example, the Steam Subscriber Agreement) also apply, including its rules on purchases and refunds.
3. AI-generated content
The contestants' and host's dialogue and voices are generated in real time by AI models running on your own device. That's what makes every season different, and it also means:
- Lines aren't written or reviewed by us. We instruct the characters to stay in character and keep romantic scenes non-explicit, but the AI can still produce lines that are odd, inaccurate, repetitive or offensive.
- Everything is fiction. All contestants and hosts, including Gigi Marlowe, are fictional characters. Nothing they say is a statement of fact, advice, or the views of Game Grown Studios. Any resemblance to real people is coincidental.
- You're responsible for what you type. Whispers and instructions you give the cast are processed on your device. Don't use them to try to produce illegal content or content that targets real people.
If the Game produces something harmful, please tell us at gamegrownstudios@gmail.com so we can improve it.
4. Third-party models and software
The Game downloads and runs AI models made by others, under their own licences. These include Llama 3.2 (Llama 3.2 Community License and Meta's Acceptable Use Policy; built with Llama), Qwen 2.5 (Apache 2.0) and Kokoro (Apache 2.0). If you add your own model from Hugging Face, its licence is between you and its author. Your use of these models must follow their licences. The Game's credits list the third-party assets it uses.
5. Streaming, videos and screenshots
You're welcome to stream the Game, post videos and screenshots, and earn money from them through platform programs such as YouTube Partner, Twitch or TikTok, as long as you don't present the footage as official Game Grown Studios content. A link back to villadedrama.com is appreciated but not required. We may ask you to take something down if it misrepresents the Game or us.
6. Our rights
The Game, the Site and their content (including the name Villa de Drama, the logo, characters, art, music selection, code and text) belong to Game Grown Studios or our licensors, and are protected by copyright and trademark law. Apart from the licence in section 2 and the permissions in section 5, these terms don't give you any rights to them.
7. The Game is in development
Villa de Drama is still being built. Features, content and system requirements may change, and updates may reset saves or settings. We'll try to avoid that and to warn you when it can't be helped. The AI features depend on your hardware: older devices, and browsers without WebGPU, may fall back to simpler scripted lines.
8. Disclaimer
The Game and the Site are provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or that the Game will be error-free or that its AI output will be accurate or appropriate.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Game Grown Studios won't be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of data or profits, arising from your use of the Game or the Site. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the Game, or US$10 if you paid nothing. Some places don't allow these limits, and nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law.
10. Ending your licence
You can stop using the Game at any time by uninstalling it. If you seriously break these terms, your licence ends and you must stop using the Game. Sections 3, 6, 8, 9 and 11 continue to apply after that.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [STATE], United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. If you live in the EU, UK or another country with mandatory consumer law, you keep the protections of your local law and can bring claims in your local courts.
12. Changes
We may update these terms as the Game changes. We'll change the date at the top, and for significant changes we'll post a notice on the Site or in the Game's update notes. If you keep playing after a change takes effect, the new terms apply.
